In this textbook we have attempted to meet the need for condensed and readily accessible information about bacteria as agents of human disease. Book describes bacteria structure, metabolism, culture media, staining techniques, sterilization principles. We hope that this book will provide useful information for all health-care professionals, in particular practicing physicians, medical and nursing students, intems and residents.
